About

The AI/ML Engineering subgroup is a Boulder-based community within RMAIIG for developers, researchers, and tech enthusiasts pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in AI and machine learning.

At our gatherings we alternate between deep dives into the theory of machine learning (reading papers and discussing the latest research) and discussions tackling real-world development challenges, from fine-tuning embedding models for RAG to exploring new tools from coding helpers to image processors. Seasoned academics, budding engineers, and the simply curious are all welcome.

Here’s the repo for the Zork-alike game developed for the meetup: COLD STORAGE: A Haunted Data Center Adventure — a standalone Infocom-style text game in Python, written entirely by a local/sovereign AI on a MacBook Pro (M3): Qwen3.8 27B as the model, pi as the coding harness. github.com/BillDX/coldstorage
