RMAIIG events are free, and always will be. Friends of RMAIIG are the people who chip in so it stays that way.
Nobody checks for a badge at the door
Everyone is welcome at RMAIIG, every time, whether you give a dollar or nothing at all. But venues, catering, platform fees, and the software that keeps a nonprofit running all cost money. Becoming a Friend of RMAIIG is a simple, recurring way to cover it — and you get a little RMAIIG swag out of the deal.
Gifts from Friends of RMAIIG go to Rocky Mountain AI, the Colorado 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports RMAIIG and all of its subgroups. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law for taxpayers who itemize deductions, and you will receive a receipt for your records.

How your funds are used. Your payment will be used as described above. If your payment exceeds the amount necessary to accomplish that use, Rocky Mountain AI will allocate remaining funds for ongoing meeting organization and community activities for the same group/sub-group. If such use becomes impractical or impossible, such as a subgroup disbanding, then we may use portions or all of your payment for any use that falls within the purpose of our non-profit (AI education and AI community development) as outlined in our Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation.
Where Your Contributions Go
Every dollar we receive goes toward building and sustaining a thriving AI community in Colorado. Here is how we put those funds to work.
Quality venues, catering, beverages, and supplies that make our monthly meetups welcoming, accessible, and energizing for every attendee.
New projects, events, and community initiatives that expand what RMAIIG can offer and help us explore new ways to learn, connect, and grow together.
Platform fees and promotion costs — including tools like Meetup.com — that help us reach new members across Colorado.
Accounting software, business tools, and the administrative overhead required to operate transparently as a nonprofit.
Transparency matters to us. Contributions support the general operational and programmatic activities of Rocky Mountain AI. For our IRS determination letter, EIN assignment, Form W-9, and donation policy, see our Donor Documents.
What Your Support Powers
Your support underwrites free monthly programming across eleven subgroups in Boulder, Denver, Fort Collins, Greeley, and Loveland — from AI/ML Engineering and Legal AI to GenAI in Education, AI Safety & Ethics, and Women in AI Colorado. Every one of them is free to attend and open to all skill levels.
